Kary Stickney
California Regional Landscape Artist.
My interest in painting started when I was a child by leaning over my parents shoulders as they painted. It would be many teachers and many other careers before I got back to that interest in painting as an adult. Nature was another strong influence in my life from hiking to gardening, so putting the two together was an easy connection and things just grew from there.
Other studies: Graphic Design, Fabric Design, and Illustration.
 

Art Seeds are my small works of art. I started painting small canvases for fun. I just enjoyed sitting down and finishing a painting while working out ideas for bigger ones. However it soon became clear that the small format had it's own special appeal. Now I'm doing 4"x4"x2" &  4"x12"x2" box canvases of CA regional landscape, 3"x3" chicken paintings and gift card packages.
